Only complaint was that you couldn't really use the air conditioner and close the curtains at the same time so sleeping in a cool dark room was a bit difficult. Friendly staff - nice food. The luxurious Grand Hotel National is situated right on the shore of Lake Lucerne, only a 5 minute walk from the train station and the historic quarter.. Lucerne's legendary luxury hotel was built in the 1870s by César Ritz and Auguste Escoffier. It's a short walk from the train station and in a great location near Lake Luzern.

The bed was comfortable and the Nespresso coffee in the room was good.
Our room consisted of three rooms, a very large bedroom with a king size bed and desk; a dressing room and a large bath with double sinks and a dresser to store our bath items, Hotel is right on the lake with a pretty river walkway.
